The D collection is a result of the designer’s cooperation with a manufactory, thanks to which a traditional technology of producing porcelain objects was optimised. The designer minimised the amount of waste, treating any deviations from the standard quality as an added value of the product. The collection serves as an example of a critical approach to users’ needs. The designer tries to draw the users’ attention to the creative process and breaks down the stereotypes related to the manufacturing perfection of mass production. In this case, defects do not exclude the bowls from the market, as they are actually intentional creative effects. The collection includes bowls that can be used for preparing, serving, and storing food, but in fact, it is the users who decide their purpose.
