The object of this piece was to design a robot that draws with tools people use. From the illustrations provided, we can presume that the robot, when cleverly steered with the developed algorithms, creates a picture on a chosen surface. This programmed journey makes abstract drawings or typographical compositions with markers or felt-tip pens. The simple mechanical engine makes markings that are imperfect, which gives the robot his own unique style. I wonder if the opposite premise would be feasible – one in which a man would draw with tools specially designed for a robot.
