Prostor (Space) is a huge type family, including forty‑five styles. They all have the same proportions and are based on a grid structure, and so are easy to superimpose on one another to create colorful and unique headlines. Each style is made up of 264 glyphs, so that texts can be assembled in the majority of European languages using the Latin alphabet. The jury admired the universal nature of the MA project, which is a splendid tool for rendering various typographical ideas, while maintaining the proper degree of unity. Jan Buchtela leaves designers even more elbow room: “You can work with this type as you would with vector objects, because it facilitates disproportionate extension both vertically and horizontally.”
