The designer makes use of coffee waste, transforming it into a material to produce décor elements for cafés. The author follows the principle of “Brew, drink, and recycle”: thanks to his cooperation with local coffee houses, he had an opportunity to learn about the premises’ interior design requirements and was guaranteed access to the basic resource – used coffee grounds. By combining coffee waste with resin, he created a special material which could then be used to produce tiles. The project is entirely safe as it meets all the standards for objects intended to come into contact with food.
