The way children play influences the way they perceive the world. Sounder is a complex toy which combines modern technology with traditional materials. It helps develop children’s haptic and cognitive skills and stimulates their perception of sounds. The kit can be used to build a tower: it consists of elements in various sizes, which are sources of different sounds. Their combination creates a sonic collage. The towers can be connected, as their structure gives room for a number of games – for example, recreating the shape of a tower on the basis of sounds. The creator of the toy hopes it will become an alternative to the devices which make children spend too much time in front of screens.
