This chair has been created for both private and public interiors. The main challenge faced by the designer was the stepped backrest, which forms an integral support surface from the inside. In the backrest, there are transitions between wood fibre directions and their connections with the armrests and back legs. Even though the chair is made of solid oak wood, it has a very lightweight look. Its elegant and minimal construction is complemented by an upholstered plywood seat. This graduation project has been developed in cooperation with the Slovak solid oak wood furniture producer Javorina.
