Uni is a modular urban furniture system designed to counteract social isolation by creating common spaces that encourage direct interactions among local residents. So far, the catalogue consists of ten modules, available in several versions, which can be used to set up numerous configurations of urban street objects. The key feature of the project is the accessibility standards for urban furniture. Particular components of the construction are designed to make the objects easy to use for elderly persons as well as persons with motor dysfunctions. To ensure maximum comfort, some of the seatings and supporting elements can also come with thermal insulation made of wooden boards. The objects are made of prefabricated modules only, which facilitates their disassembly, replacement, and repair in case of damage.
