The project was a response to the needs of older children, enabling them to build higher and more stable constructions. The author was inspired by her own observations that as children grow older, their construction activities shift from the surrounding space to the tabletop—they become smaller, more instructional, and less physically engaging. The project was designed for people aged 7–12, for whom the opportunity to have a real impact on their surrounding environment is highly significant in the process of growing up and developing independence. The set includes modular wooden elements and characteristic orange metal joints. It is supplemented with standardized tools—keys, screws, nuts, and washers—which allow children to create stable, real constructions at a tailor-made scale. The set supports the development of manual, technical, and social skills, encourages cooperation, and provides satisfaction from creating something durable and “real.”. The project was designed for semi-public spaces, where it can support communal and creative forms of play.
