The project is a redesign of the existing visual information system for LCDs on Koleje Śląskie trains. The designer addressed various difficulties reported by passengers: for instance, the insufficient number of messages and announcements concerning free seats in particular segments of the train, delays and disruptions, and replacement services. The presented model is an outcome of thorough legibility research and analysis of the users’ needs and problems regarding the current system. The process involved layout and interaction design for the train information system.
