I feel it is important to use my creative work to promote a connection with nature. My diploma project, Palánta Pánik (“Seedling Panic”), is a gardening-themed board game made from natural materials. It introduces easily cultivable vegetables and playfully familiarizes players with the joys and practical aspects of gardening. The player’s mission is to harvest the vegetables planted in their garden bed as quickly as possible, earning points along the way. Quick action is needed to avoid being overtaken or hindered by others. The goal of the board game is to build a relationship with nature and provide education on the topic through illustrative visuals and gameplay. For the visual design, I chose a digital approach, creating my illustrations on a computer using a drawing tablet. In the drawings, I aimed to find a balance where the forms of the plants are treated freely, yet remain easily recognizable.
