The project is an attempt to answer a crucial question: how to solve the problem of household food waste? The designer’s goal is to encourage people to reflect on their attitudes to food. The project features elements of critical design. The exhibition consists of four elements corresponding with situations and contexts where food is usually wasted: shopping preparations, shopping behaviour, dealing with the purchased food, and the approach to meals. Everyone is invited to a set table to compare their individual practices with the striking statistics. The knowledge about the current food waste problem is meant to help people change their habits.
