The BONDIA seating design is created to foster interaction between grandparents and their preschool-aged grandchildren. The seat for the grandparent is clearly defined and provides stable support. On the opposite side, there is a dynamic section with multiple seating options for a young child: it responds to the children’s playfulness, curiosity, and desire to explore their environment. The two seating sections are connected by a shape resembling a knot, which stands for the strong bond between the two generations. This design aims to enhance the quality of shared moments between grandparents and grandchildren, strengthen intergenerational relationships, and contribute to a healthy, balanced family life.
