This collection is an example of how a potential of a regional resource can be successfully used. The author used black limestone, marble, and other types of stone characteristic for the Małopolska region of Poland to make finishing, decorative, and sculpture elements. The designer found a simple, surprising, and innovative application for the material. The minimalist dinnerware set with geometric shapes and functional grooves is a response to the modern trends related to the praise of the local, meal celebration, and food design. The collection is visually attractive: it emphasizes and highlights the natural beauty of the material. Even without the food context, the set is intriguing and appealing. The project also shows how traditional crafts can be interpreted for commercial use.
