There are more and more people who regularly move around cities on bikes, but one of the problems they face is finding a place to park. This project aims to address everyday difficulties such as the situations when a cyclist must leave his or her bicycle somewhere and go shopping or to a meeting. The idea concentrates on short-term parking: from 15 minutes up to 3 hours. The concept is based on a publicly available lock installed on a wall. The solution makes use of the existing infrastructure, usually the buildings’ facades, and it does not require any special investments in order to increase the number and accessibility of parking spots for bikes. Thanks to the object, the users do not need to use their own locks, as it makes it possible to block the wheel and the frame. Additionally, the reclining construction allows easy adjustment of the bicycle to the lock.
