The project presents five traditional Japanese chili products. The name of the collection is a blend of the words “angry” and “hungry”. The author has chosen five varieties of chili and linked each of them with a character from Japanese culture, beliefs, and legends. They include the following symbols: the geisha, the samurai, the dragon, the koi fish, and the tiger. Their characteristics reflect the properties of relevant chili varieties, represented by three products: chili chocolate, Japanese chili sauce, and the shichimi togarashi spice mix. The style of the illustrations was inspired by the tattoos of the famous Japanese underworld group, the Yakuza.
