Pikawa is a set of haptic educational resources for schoolchildren with vision impairment. It can be used for teaching lessons about the cardiovascular system and human anatomy. The designer addressed the issue of the lack of available educational resources that could be adapted to the needs of persons with vision impairment and vision loss. The final solution is based on three levels of involvement: listen – know – understand. The set consists of a stethoscope, a textile human body scheme board, an organ kit, and a blood circulation model. All the components are made of easily accessible and affordable materials. Thanks to the project, children can learn how the circulatory system works step by step and get a better understanding of its role in the human body. It can be used by students both with and without visual impairment.
