The project was inspired by abstract expressions in sculpture, graphic design, and plastic arts. The issues related to abstract art are discussed in the author’s theoretical work “Various forms of the abstract in art and graphic design on the example of selected 20th-century works”. The graphic layout of the work corresponds to the created visual elements, based on the need for defining clear identity and leaving more freedom for graphic materials designed for exhibitions and other events. The main element is a neutral sign built of lines pointing at three main directions: horizontal, vertical, and diagonal; they symbolise the diversity of the institution’s activities. The project consists of letterhead paper, cards, files, envelopes, badges, the brand book, a brochure with a map, a booklet presenting the Centre, bookmarks, and postcards.
