The main idea behind the project was to reinvent a commonly known and used object: a Hungarian street bench, usually referred to as “a city park bench” (Városligeti pad) or a “red bench“. Instead of simply changing its function, the designer decided to create an experimental collection through iteration: he designed a number of versions before the final presentation. As a result, he developed not only several types of benches, but also a variety of objects and structures that use concrete and wooden elements, such as a lamp, a coffee table, or a clothes dryer. They are presented through various media: sketches, scaled models, and photographs.
