This wooden toy called Nekonečno is a set of fun blocks and connectors designed for preschoolers, as well as their older friends. The designer consciously used materials of conflicting properties: beech plywood and flexible synthetic EVA foam. The combination of the hard wood and the soft connectors means that the toys are also suitable for handicapped children, including the blind and visually impaired. The innovative method of joining the simple geometrical parts encourages imagination and creativity in small builders, while improving their motor skills and logical thinking. The exceptionally wide range of possibilities the set creates is reflected by the logo, which plays on the words “nekonečno – nekonečnou” (endlessness – endlessly). The whole set fits into a functional package – a small backpack, also designed by the student.
