Rarely does a design engender such a lively response from the young people who see it. This is a proposition for those who seek to tear themselves from the computer, who feel a need to move and get about with their own means of transportation, which you can carry with you (or even on you). This project does not aim to increase the pace of life and getting around, it is more about slow movement, which can give us time to take in the world and to reflect. The solution is not meant to replace any existing modes of transport. Belt‑scooter is well designed – the flexible steering mechanism adjusts to the user’s height, providing both a sense of security and ease of movement.
