The author presents a graphic designer’s perspective on the broad possibilities offered by Microsoft Word. Being user-friendly, the tool is the most popular text editor in public institutions and private companies. Its wide range of options includes graphic ones, which are not used very often. The outcome of the project is an accessible book which outlines, among others, the process of print design, typesetting, and illustration creation. The materials collected in this self-study book in the form of basic guidelines are directed to people working in administration offices. The author hopes to improve the quality of public graphic design. The book has been written, designed, edited, and illustrated by means of Microsoft Word only.
