Who would have thought that cottage industries would begin to interest designers! And yet Marta Morawska has not only analyzed modern requirements and possibilities for working at home, she also tested this new work model among Warsaw residents. She began by working with elderly people using the Daily Care Home in Saska Kępa, Warsaw. The subject of the design was the production process: from idea to production, executed using co‑design principles, though only taken to the initial design phase as of yet. Planned and executed by Marta Morawska, this action falls in line with the new tendency for social design. An interest in crafts and handwork served as a thread of communication between the young designer and the group of seniors. We appreciated the fact that the design, primarily aimed at people over fifty‑five years of age, is now being continued through cooperation with Warsaw’s ę Association of Creative Initiatives for the needs of parents with small children.
