The designer looked for an application of a new eco-material in product design – the flexible and durable biocomposite Malai. Respecting its properties and limitations, he responded to the unceasing ecological crisis and followed the circular economy principles. The created product – ZOOŠI – was inspired by a series of workshops with children. It is a playful and innovative DIY kit for children that allows them to create a zoo by sewing animal toys using Malai, based on their own drawings and the instructions provided on the packaging. This educational and relaxing project fosters children’s creative and motor development. The material is organic, sustainable, water-resistant, and hypoallergenic.
