The designer’s concept was to discover new areas of ceramics: to establish a dialogue with the machine and to explore its relationship with a human as a creator. By analysing the possibilities and limitations of ceramic 3D printing, the designer introduced several interventions which modify the results as well as some manually-created elements. This way, she shared the process of creation with the machine. She translated her experience with malleable porcelain into ceramic 3D printing, at the same time extending her practice by combining the printed elements with those fashioned on a potter’s wheel. Her focus was not on the form or application but on cooperation itself, freely shaped by the two sides.
