To learn cycling, children aged 2 to 6 need as many as three vehicles: ride-ons, balance bikes, and pedal bikes, subsequently. This graduation project combines the three bike types into a single model that grows alongside the child. It can be used for five years. There are nine versions of the bike in the project, as the frame can be increased in size and wheels have various sizes – from 12 to 16 inches. It can be the child’s first vehicle: the process of learning starts from simple balancing and ends with the child riding skilfully on cycling lanes. As parents do not need to buy a new vehicle every year, the growing bike helps them save money. What is more, the project contributes to energy saving and the reduction of production and distribution materials.
