The project is largely based on the unique characteristics of silent films, including versatile handwritten typography, frequently present in old-time films. This aspect was reflected in the combination of two typographies: elegant and somewhat decorative with freestyle and slightly abstract. A destroyed film roll inspired the design of the author’s interpretation of this phenomenon with the help of bitmap noise. The styling and appropriate cropping of the photos in accordance with an easy-to-use layout creates an interesting typographic and visual composition. The nature of the project defined the form of the festival logotype, which can be used with an annotation. This will prove useful for particular editions of the event.
