This is a project of a compost bin for organic waste (fruit and vegetable peels, tea leaves and coffee grounds, paper) which is processed by means of compost earthworms (Eisenia fetida). It can be used in kitchen, especially in flats without gardens, whose owners would like to take care of the environment and process the green waste on their own. According to research, 30–50% of the garbage produced at home is biodegradable waste. Mixing it with other types of garbage to end up on a rubbish dump negatively affects the environment and causes soil and air pollution. The project has a distinctive form; it is also very ergonomic and uses unique materials (spun and varnished aluminium, expanded cork).
